Bottle POS stores detailed transaction logs, age verification records, camera footage timestamps, employee activity logs, tax records, and inventory movement records.

Do I need a separate barcode scanner for IDs and products?

Nope! With Bottle POS, a compatible 2D barcode scanner can scan both customer IDs and UPCs. It’s worth noting that not all 2D UPC scanners can scan IDs, but any scanner that can handle IDs can ring up products as well.

 

What is dual pricing, and what are the rules for offering it?

Dual pricing allows you to offer cash or credit flexibility for your customers by offering a regular credit card price and a discounted cash price.

If you plan to use dual pricing, you have to display both prices. Our system supports printing dual pricing labels, which show both the regular and cash price clearly. Dual pricing can be applied automatically at checkout for any customer paying in cash.

Note: Dual pricing will automatically work with any promotional pricing as well. For example, if you have a buy one, get one (BOGO) 25% off, you will see that 25% off reflected for both the cash and card price at checkout — no manual calculation needed.



How is sales tax calculated at checkout?

Bottle POS allows you to configure precise tax requirements in the backend. You can set things like product-specific taxes (e.g., tobacco vs. liquor vs. general goods), city-specific taxes, or any other requirements. These taxes can also be configured per store location.

Will Bottle POS connect with my security cameras?

Bottle POS can connect directly with register-level webcams, so you can pull up footage of specific transactions for compliance audits, fraud prevention, or training. Bottle POS can’t connect with any external or ceiling-mounted cameras.
