The message formula

Before you start texting, here are some guidelines to keep in mind.

Keep messages under 160 characters 

Include opt-out language: “Text STOP to opt out of marketing messages” at the end of every text. 

Send messages between 12 and 8 p.m. to avoid “quiet hours.”

Don’t promote excessive alcohol use or dangerous behaviors (stick to business). 

Don’t mention tobacco, vape, CBD, or THC products.
